Yes, I need to get fit. I have a Duran Duran concert in July and class reunion in August. More than likely I will be going to the DD concert with my friend Paula. That means we will probably get backstage and I want to look good for my boys.
This would be my first class reunion. I haven’t seen most of my classmates (outside of Facebook pics) since the 80s. I want to look great.
The first step to get fit is getting out! Now that the weather is finally getting better, I plan on doing more walking and maybe some jogging. I also have dozens of fitness DVDs that have been collecting dust, because most of my workouts have been online.
Years ago I did a different DVD every day challenge. It was called 30 Day No Repeat. You can see the first week’s schedule here. I’m going to be doing that again. I will be doing the exact same schedule.
In my recent post I Didn’t Worry About Gaining Weight During My Vacation, I talked about how much walking we did during our vacation. I experienced a lot of pain in my legs every day. Recently I started taking Omega-3s to combat that pain. I have read that Omega-3s are essential for my heart health, but they are also great for reducing inflammation and joint pain.
I’m taking flaxseed oil capsules, eating more fish (more sushi) and adding flaxseed to my food. I have less leg pain and I don’t get stiff after sitting for a while. So, I will be keeping Omega-3s in my diet permanently.
