Can you believe it’s April already! I know it doesn’t feel like it, but it is spring. We had 6 inches of snow last week in Toronto. Yes, I know other parts of North America are dealing with the same thing. That groundhog was so wrong. I’m not listening to him anymore. Can I blame him for my lack of fitness motivation?!
This weather is killing my fitness motivation! It’s hard for me to get motivated when the weather is like this, but before you know it, it will be hot and I’ll be regretting my procrastination.
Last week I started to get back on track with some Yoga. It felt good to do a little something. If I want to get more toned, I have to start weight training and cardio. My favorite form of cardio is walking. I did a lot of that on my vacation and I wrote about it last week. The post is here.
I want to get outside more now. My body is craving it. I did look at the weather forecast for the next couple of weeks and it looks promising.
I’m drinking my protein shakes again. I made a really delicious one with pears, peaches, strawberries and banana. The protein powder I used is one of my favorites. You can read a review of it here. I also love using cashew milk in my smoothies. It adds a creaminess to it without a lot of calories. I reviewed one brand of cashew milk here.
I’m just taking it one day at a time. I have a couple of events I want to look good for. The first one is the Duran Duran concert in July. The second one is my high school reunion in August.
