I was asked by the DailyBurn to create and share my favorite protein shake. Usually I just throw some fruit, non-dairy milk and protein powder in a blender and blend after my workout. I decided to actually think of specific recipe for my after workout protein shake.
Here’s my recipe for Chocolately Goodness!
1 tbs of cocoa powder
1 tbs of flax seed
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
1 cup of non-dairy milk ( I used Silk Cashew Milk)
1/2 of avocado
1 frozen banana
Put all of that together and mix in the blender.
I tried to think of a fancy name for it, but the first thing that came to my mind was Chocolately Goodness because it is! The avocado and cashew milk made the shake thick and rich. Flax seeds and avocados are good healthy fats. Flax seeds are also a great source of omega-3s. Everything I used in the protein shake was vegan.
